Several survey networks identified the following as the ones who have better chances of winning this year’s presidential race.
Noynoy Aquino
He rose to political stardom almost immediately after the death of his mother Corazon Aquino. Though a number of those who claim to be voting for him are not really that impressed with his intelligence and overall leadership presence, they are hoping that his honesty and integrity will be enough for him to effectively govern this country which seemed to have been crippled by the corrupt political system.
Manny Villar
Young professionals are rooting for him mainly because of the wealth he has amassed across the years as a businessman. He claims to have been raised by a very poor family but eventually became rich through decades of hard work and perseverance. His supporters are under the impression that if he can make himself wealthy, he can make the country the same too. Nonetheless, his seemingly overkill campaign strategy is turning some voters off. They are wondering how he is going to recoup the money he has spent.
Gibo Theodoro
He almost came out of nowhere but it looks like he impresses everyone he comes across with. I don’t think there is a presidential candidate who would dare face him in any forums or debate. Months back, his popularity rating is way at the bottom but when TV networks started organizing talks showing the proficiency of the presidentiable’s verbal communications skills, his popularity shoot up almost immediately. Since he is the one endorsed by the current administration that is being lambasted by different controversies, questions that are asked of him are often sensitive. Nevertheless, I am yet to be disappointed by any of his response.
Joseph Estrada
I was in college when he was ousted from the presidential seat. I have never thought he’s current campaign strategy would capitalize on that incident. His political ads make him appear as a ‘would have been’ saviour of the country, whose plans never materialized because the chance to do so was stolen from him.
I’m gonna stop here. I’m sorry but I find the other candidates irrelevant. So who is your bet? Cast your vote and be heard.
